Hybrid Bikes: they are a good compromise between performance, comfort and sturdiness. Good for the city and bike touring, rather light weight and narrow tires, many gears to go anywhere.

6 speed: easy to use and perfect for the city and bike paths. There are enough ratios to gradually build speed without forcing too much. Not great for steep hills, ok for medium grade climbs. - Derailleur: Shimano Touring

Tires 26 x 1.75: medium width tires with small thread, for comfort on asphalt and occasional off-road.
