Very high quality with mostly light weight alloy parts. Not 100% sure it's a Grand Prix, could be a Super Grand Prix or even higher quality Raleigh.
Given the quality it's a very good bargain.
Road Bikes: They are lighter and designed for speed and performance, comfort is less important. For racing, touring and long rides on bike paths and roads. Narrow wheels and tires are fragile and require more maintenance.
10 speed: good to go just about everywhere except very steep hills. The range of different ratios are more than enough for most people. There are 2 front chain rings and 5 rear gears. - Derailleur: Shimano 600
Tires 27 x 1 1/4: narrow tires with small thread or slick, for speed on asphalt, very common on vintage road bikes.
