Comments: Touring bike for long distance travel, sturdy concave alloy wheels, 18 speeds to go uphill, very good quality for the time. Paint not too good looking in 2 spots where something probably dripped on it and stripped the paint in those 2 spots.

Road Bikes: They are lighter and designed for speed and performance, comfort is less important. For racing, touring and long rides on bike paths and roads. Narrow wheels and tires are fragile and require more maintenance.

18 speed: perfect to go everywhere including going up very steep hills. There are 3 front chain rings and 6 rear gears. - Derailleur: Shimano 600

Tires 27 x 1 3/8: medium width tires with small thread, for comfort on asphalt.
